The Passengers by John Marrs

I’ve been really getting into some science fiction mystery reads lately and I blame that on my husband 🙂

Thank you Berkley Publishing for my gifted copy in exchange for my honest review.

Synopsis: When someone hacks into the systems of eight self-drive cars, their passengers are set on a fatal collision course. The passengers are: a TV star, a pregnant young woman, a disabled war hero, an abused wife fleeing her husband, an illegal immigrant, a husband and wife – and parents of two – who are travelling in separate vehicles and a suicidal man. Now the public have to judge who should survive but are the passengers all that they first seem?

To be honest, I was so nervous about reading this because this is a true fear of mine…no kidding! I drive quite often and dream of the day we have self-driving cars. But this? This is allll too real. This read like a Twilight Zone episode and I absolutely loved it. It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I was trying to predict what would happen next, but I couldn’t! This is a must read thriller!

5/5 Stars
