Summer time reading always reminds me of a good young adult book. That’s mostly because I spent every summer growing up reading them! I couldn’t end my summer without having read Trish’s latest book!
Thank you Simon Pulse for gifting me a copy in exchange for my honest review.
Synopsis: Willa and Taylor were supposed to spend the summer after high school sailing from Ohio to Key West with their best friend, Finley. But Finley died before graduation, leaving them with a twenty-five-foot sailboat, a list of clues leading them to destinations along the way, and a friendship that’s hanging by a thread. Now, Willa and Taylor have two months and two thousand miles to discover how life works without Finley—and to decide if their own friendship is worth saving.
Sometimes books about friendship tend to lose my interest half way through. That was not the case with this book! I love Trish’s writing style and was captivated by these characters. I think the locations mentioned in the book and their adventures really made me love this book more than I anticipated! It’s emotional and heart-warming. I want to be best friends with these two! This honestly was the perfect book to end my summer reading escapades. I will be holding this one close to read for next summer!
5/5 Stars
I enjoy books about friendship and I have read some good reviews of this one, including yours. Time to see if I can find it at the library or KU.
