The Mother-In-Law by Sally Hepworth

We now return to our regularly scheduled thrilling reads with the latest and greatest!

Thank you St Martins Press for gifting me a copy in exchange for my honest review.

Synopsis from Goodreads: From the moment Lucy met Diana, she was kept at arm’s length. Diana is exquisitely polite, but Lucy knows, even after marrying Oliver, that they’ll never have the closeness she’d been hoping for. But who could fault Diana? She was a pillar of the community, an advocate for social justice, the matriarch of a loving family. Lucy had wanted so much to please her new mother-in-law. That was ten years ago. Now, Diana has been found dead, leaving a suicide note. But the autopsy reveals evidence of suffocation. And everyone in the family is hiding something…

The hype about this book is real! You need to go in blindly on this one because it will take your head through a whirlwind of a trip! Who doesn’t love a good domestic suspense about a mother-in-law?! I thought this was better than “The Other Woman” which I feel like most people are going to walk into this one thinking it may have a similar plot. Not the case! The multiple point of views made this book so much better! Loved it! This book was well worth the wait! It even made me want to re-read her previous novels!
