NIV, Starting Place Study Bible, Hardcover, Comfort Print

As you may know from my previous reviews, I’m always on the lookout for bibles that can help me really study and understand God’s word. This book looked like the perfect bible for me!

This is such a cool bible! As a scientist and teacher by trade, I appreciate all context facts placed in bibles. This one is the best I have come across so far! There are multiple context notes filtered throughout the bible. These are found in yellow and include facts about people, lands, and rulers, culture and history, archaeology, ancient texts and artifacts, and reliability. AMAZING.

The pictures are worth it by themselves alone! There are features that include common questions and answers, (life questions and contextual questions), statements of biblical truths, and profiles of specific bible characters. It has reading plans (including a 60 day overview of the bible), subject index, colored maps, verse study notes, bible book introductions, and a whole lot more. This bible is perfect for the new christian and the old who wants an in-depth study right at their fingertips. I just wish the bible without the sleeve looked just as cool as with it on.
