
My phone is a distraction. Television is a distraction. Social media is a distraction. I am surrounded by them, and I know I need to fight those urges to break away from my daily demands. This book is the best resource I’ve come across to help in doing so.

First and foremost, I have to applaud the layout of this book. I love that each daily habit is based off of habits at a glance – focusing on loving God, embracing life, resisting distraction, and loving your neighbor. It’s an awesome graphic, and completely applicable. I love that this book can reach you at any time point in your life – whether you’re going through a new marriage, the birth of a child, the loss of a loved one, or going through the monotonous daily life events. This book is for you no matter what. The other side of the story? IT’S HARD…no lie! This is not an easy task to do as we are living in a world that is engulfed in distraction. The steps in this book are simple, reasonable, and life changing. This book will sit at my bed side table as a daily reminder of the liberating life I want to lead. I think EVERYONE should read this book.
