If I’m being honest with you, which I always want to be, I need to admit that I’m bad at spending time in the word. As a christian, it’s something that I want to do because it betters me as a person and I learn a lot about life in the process. I am a full-time working mother, so time is not always on my side. If I want to make time for it, I need to! God’s Promises Every Day is a devotional that I can really start getting into to do just that.
Thank you Thomas Nelson for sending me a free copy in exchange for my honest review.
This is a short, daily devotional that focuses solely on all the promises God has made to his people throughout the bible. This is written much like the “Jesus Calling” devotionals in the fact that they are short daily readings that are easy for one to contemplate and meditate on as the day goes by. I appreciate the length in these devotions, but I almost wish they were a little longer. I feel like I can read this devotion in passing and it’s not really encouraging me to think on it as I go about my daily life. I do like that they are great devotions to share with friends and family as these are truths that people need to hear often and know that they are indeed the truth.
