Verity by Colleen Hoover

I’ll be honest, I read All Your Perfects by Colleen Hoover a couple of months ago and couldn’t finish it. It wasn’t that her writing wasn’t good (because I loved the writing), I just could not get into the story itself. With that being said, a ton of friends had been raving about Verity, I thought I would give a Hoover book another try.

Lowen is struggling financially and as a writer. In comes the opportunity of a lifetime, in the most bizarre way possible. Verity is a famous author and has since become paralyzed and cannot continue writing. Verity’s husband Jeremy wants to hire Lowen to finish the series. Lowen, hesitant at first, takes the offer and heads to their house to do some background research before she starts writing. She stumbles across Verity’s autobiography, or so it seems, and discovers the unthinkable. What’s really going on with Verity and Jeremy?

All the stars for this book! If the first few pages of the book doesn’t knock your socks off, then I would check your pulse. I read this towards the end of the year, and it almost became my favorite book of 2018. It is that good! It is very steamy, which I didn’t expect. The suspense, the multi-layered craziness of the characters, the ending, I couldn’t stop reading! This would be an absolutely perfect movie as well. I highly recommend this one! I read it on my kindle as that how it was first released and I will be purchasing a hard copy to keep on my shelf.

5/5 Stars
