I’m full of emotion for this book. I’ve been waiting to read this one for quite some time. Multiple people have raved about it even after I had already added it to my “must reads” list.
Jason has the american dream – a beautiful wife, a wonderful son, and a job as a professor. He occasionally finds himself thinking about what could have been – but he’s okay with what he has. Until, he gets kidnapped one night, drugeed, and finds himself awake to a life that could have been – the dream job for him and his wife. The problem is, he isn’t happy with it. He’s not married, he doesn’t have a son, and every one thinks he’s gone completely mad. Will he ever find his way back to his family?
I knew I would be mad at myself for waiting so long to read this book….
And yess, I am quite mad. I devoured this book in one sitting. IT IS SO GOOD! It’s an emotional and empowering read. The constant question you ask yourself through the entire book is “am I happy with my own life?” It’s the same question the main characters find themselves asking each other. This book makes you look at your life in a whole different light. This would be an amazing movie by the way (I have read that there is talk of it happening). I need to read more books just like this – any other suggestions?
5/5 Stars
That sounds an amazing read – and is another one I REALLY want to get hold of… and no – while I’ve read some cracking books this year – the last time I read a book that had that effect on me was After Atlas by Emma Newman…
