If I’m being honest, these last few weeks have been tough on my family and me in multiple ways. I needed a good pick-me-up and something new, so I was so happy to receive Julie’s latest book, On Eagles Wings – A Journey Takes Flight for me to review.
I don’t read poetry very often, but I found this really refreshing. Some of these poems are very true to the heart and full of emotion. It made me reminiscent of my own struggles and faith journey, bringing up deep emotion just like a certain song can do. Other poems are full of life that point towards scripture which I found quite beautiful. This book is really nice to have on hand to go to when you need it most. It makes you realize you are not alone in your struggles and that we can come out stronger in faith on the other side. Thank you Julie for sharing this with me. I should try reading some poems sometimes. I never read poetry books but should look into it sometime to switch things up a bit.
