Emma In The Night by Wendy Walker

I’ve heard so many wonderful things about this book – I am happy to finally get around to reading it! I got to participate in an online buddy read with @readwithjamie on instagram with this book. I highly recommend doing online buddy reads if you aren’t plugged into a real life book club like myself. I had a blast sharing with her!

Cass and Emma are sisters who have been missing for 3 years with not a trace left. All of the sudden, Cass shows up at her mother’s front porch begging for help to find Emma. She starts to share the story of what happened to Cass and Emma as they ran away from home, all the while painting the picture of what it was like to grow up in their home with one crazy mother (and I mean crazy). You start to feel for Cass as she shares the dramatic tale of their years on a deserted island, but soon realize something’s fishy about her story. Is she telling the truth about their disappearance?

Oh my goodness, this book had me on the edge of my seat! You think you can trust these characters…but you just wait! My mouth was wide open the entire time reading this. I can’t believe I was so fooled! This was the perfect suspenseful thriller that I needed to read. Put this on your list right away! It’s crazy good.

5/5 Stars

  1. OMG, your review is so on point. Nicely done. 🙂 You just had me intrigued with this book. Just a question though, is there cheating in this book? Most thrillers like this kinda have issues like that.. But I really want to read this. 🙂
